Day 2 Assemblies

On Day 2 of our FOL, we had two more assemblies. The first one is where two high school students presented to the whole school about how we can make a difference. The second one is where an educator from ACE (Alliance for Climate Education) told us who we could get involved in helping save the planet.

This week the whole school were surprised with two inspiring high schoolers with a presentation on global warming. The students were presented with videos with different kind of facts and and pictures. They taught the students that they can take a stand even though they didn't start this they can end it. One student in 6th grade got a reusable water bottle because she said that she was going to unplug her gadgets to save electricity and energy. The students and faculty learned about many of the causes of global warming and how we can change it. Climate change can make animals and plants to become extinct because they can not adapt to the sudden temperature.  As you can see, in a while global warming will really make an impact on our Earth, and we really have to take charge! Our voices can make a difference so stand up and be heard!

Hello ACDS! For the Festival of Learning, we are learning about Global Warming, and what we can do to stop it. For today's assembly, a man that worked for ace came to show us a video about how we cause Global Warming, how it works, and what we can do to stop it. Ways we can prevent Global warming is by unplugging gadgets, use reusable water bottles, and carpool to school. These are just few examples of the many things that you can do, they may seem small, but it makes a big difference.  I learned that anyone, no matter what age, can make a difference one step at a time.
